An Improved Method for Paint Stripping

An Improved Method for Paint Stripping

Removing paint from metal structures has often been difficult. Paint strippers demonstrate their functionality by utilizing an abrasive effect. There are several methods required for removing paint from the existing area. It provides very good effects if these features are met.

  • A chlorinated solvent or a liquid alcohol
  • Metal Ammonium Salt
  • Non-ionic surfactant
  • Wetting agent

Metal ammonium salt in a liquid alcohol solvent exhibits excellent properties together with a surfactant and a wetting agent. In this way, it provides a beneficial formula by effectively removing paints on the metal surface. The most important point here is adjusting the pH to a good level with the metal ammonium salt.

Substances Used in Glass Cleaning Composition

  • Contains 2 different solvents. (Low boiling point and high boiling point solvents)
  • Surfactant consisting of Alkyl Aryl Sulfonate
  • An alkaline polyphosphate such as Sodium Tripolyphosphate
  • Ammonia

A glass cleaning liquid is obtained with the resulting solution.

A Solution Used for Cleaning Some Hard Surfaces

  • A liquid polar solvent consisting of Benzyl Alcohol
  • A surfactant consisting of Alkyl Aryl Sulfonate
  • An additional solvent such as Isopropyl Alcohol
  • A salt such as Ammonium Carbonate with an alkaline structure

Another Hard Surface Cleaning Liquid

The cleaning liquid here is a cleaning liquid used on hard surfaces that does not require rinsing.

  • A surfactant
  • Benzyl Alcohol (Solvent)
  • Ammonia
  • Alkaline material with a fugitive structure

Removal of Polyurethane Paint from Aluminum

The resulting solution enables the removal of old polyurethane paints on aluminum. The most important point here is that it is not polluting and corrosive like formic acid and phenol.

How is Paint Removal from Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Achieved?

  • Monochloroacetic acid at a temperature between 40 °C and 130 °C
  • Adipic Acid
  • Ammonium Nitrate

The cleaning solution obtained cleans lime and rust in addition to removing paint from metal surfaces. It also exhibits priming properties.

A Composition for Cleaning Nickel, Cobalt, and Copper Surfaces

For an effective cleaning formula, it provides a composition in emulsion form in oil and the ability to remove coatings.

It is the dissolved state of Ammonium Carbonate, which is a mixture of Ammonium Carbamate and Ammonium Bicarbonate, within the Benzyl Alcohol phase. The thickening chemicals used in this paint stripper formula consist of hydroxypropyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose.

Which Chemicals Strip Paint from Metal Structures?

Alcohols, solvents, mineral acids, and alkali chemicals are often used to strip paints from metal structures. These are as follows.

All information here should be used in accordance with the regulations by experts and professionals in the field.
